My team supports the Equality team in promoting their monthly ‘Equality Group’ campaign. Each group has its own logo, messaging, imagery, and colorway, and they announce and promote events on social and internal platforms, requesting up to 40 graphic assets from us each month.

The reliance on Photoshop and a lack of a centralized repository caused inconsistencies and inefficiencies, making asset production time-consuming and disorganized.

Develop a consistent, efficient system to standardize asset creation and improve production efficiency, and inclusivity, allowing designers to use the template intuitively.

I audited our asset-creation workflow and spoke with teammates to identify pain points. Designers cited inconsistent templates, redundant work, and difficulty maintaining brand alignment. Competitive analysis confirmed the need for a unified system to streamline recurring campaign production.

In Figma, I built a modular design system with reusable templates, color tokens, and component logic. Branching allowed safe experimentation, while monthly theme templates made updates quick and consistent.

I introduced the system in a team workshop and integrated it into our workflow. Asset creation time was cut by more than half, visual consistency improved, and collaboration became smoother through centralized components.

This project demonstrates the benefits of a strategic design approach and the leverage of automation tools. By implementing a cohesive system, we effectively addressed the challenges faced during asset production.
